I finally moved, and i couldnt be happier. We finally have all of our stuff in order and it finally looks like a nice apartment. I wish everyone could see it. Most established folks would look back on their lives and laugh at how they all loved their first apartments and they were really just shit holes. I know eventually I will look at this place and laugh about how small it was, and how it was not painted prettily, or how the carpets were an ugly brown, but for now this place is excellent. I LOVE it, and it is all mine!

You are absolutely right about first apartments! I remember mine with great affection, even though, in with the realism afforded by hindsight, it was nothing to right home about. I think what made it so appealing was that it was a tangible symbol of newfound independence.
